"Only one place I wanted to be"

Newest signing had heart set on Crawley return

22 May 2017

Dannie Bulman revealed that he had no hesitation in re-signing for the club after he joined the Reds for the third time last week.

The popular midfielder's return was confirmed on Friday afternoon, and in his first interview he emphasised the relationship and affiliation he holds with the club.

"I’m delighted to be back, when I found out the club were interested there was only one place that I wanted to be," he told Crawley Town TV.

"It was the best time of my career and hopefully I can create a few more good times and memories here."

The midfielder enjoyed back-to-back promotions with the Reds and became a cult hero in the process - his best spell as a professional.

"The promotion from the Conference and then the one from League Two the season afterwards were brilliant – they were my finest times as a player and ones which I look back on fondly," he continued.

"We also had that FA Cup tie thrown in there too and won a lot of games, hopefully we can create more memories like that again next season.

"I still looked out for the results of the side, of course I did. I always hoped I’d be back here at one stage and that’s now come true."
