Five key points from Harry Kewell's Luton Town reaction

The key talking points from the Head Coach's thoughts on draw with the Hatters

23 October 2017

After Saturday's 0-0 draw with Luton Town, Harry Kewell spoke to iFollow Crawley - here are five key points from his post-match discussion...

Proud but deserved more...

"I'm proud but I thought we played them to a tee and stuck to what we were trying to do. I thought at times we really troubled them, caused them problems and played them off the park.

"I was surpised they didn't change it up - but we stuck to our ganeplan throughout in difficult conditions. We were excellent and we just lacked that killer instinct."

Well played Panutche...

"I have to take my hat off to him (Panutche Camara) because I thought he was excellent today. He was my choice for man of the match because he chased everything and held the ball up - it just would have been perfect for him if he had got that goal.

"There are some players that you can see quality - he's got that and he is fearless but he also still has work to do.

"He's a free spirit and you shouldn't try to change that, you must let him play naturally and I thought he was excellent today."

Stopping the leaders...

"It wasn't too much about changing the formation because all of my players are doing well.

"We had a way to stop the leaders playing and we wanted to put them on the back foot.

"Their chances came from lapses in concentration - we played the ball around and looked for opportunities and I felt we looked the more dangerous team."

Knew they had it in them...

"Luton had quality players and a good strong squad - the pressure is on them to deliver now this year with the way they've recruited.

"But sometimes all of that doesn't matter - I knew my players had this in them and now they've got to want to perform like that in every game.

"If I keep getting performances like that then we'll have both a happy manager and a happy club."

Fans reaction...

"They'll be happy with what they've seen but I think they'll feel, like myself, that we could have won that game today."
