Midfielder looks ahead to Ricoh Arena trip

Midfielder Marvin Elliott has urged his team-mates to use last week's win over Yeovil as a springboard as Reds prepare for a tough run of fixtures.

Marvin marked his home debut with both goals in last Saturday's encouraging 2-0 win and the victory has put John Gregory's men in good heart as we prepare to face Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday.

It is followed three days later by a trip to Luton Town in the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and a home League game against high-flying Peterborough United on October 11.

Marvin said: "We got a good result on Saturday and I think the fans saw in the second half just what this team is capable of.

"But speaking to the other lads, what we've not been able to do too often this season is build on a good result and that has to be our priority on Saturday.

"Coventry are a very capable side and I'm sure they will be up there challenging at the end of the season, especially now they are back home at the Ricoh.

"But we've had a good week on the training ground and are ready to go. There have been quite a few changes in the side in the last three weeks with myself and the three lads who came in on loan joining the club and we've had a few more days to work on things which has been useful.

"We have shown this season that we can go to tough places like Barnsley and win. We need to approach Saturday in a positive frame of mind and if we can play like we did in the second half last Saturday I think we can definitely get a result there."

Tickets for the game at Coventry are still available. For more information click here.
