Lester back with the Reds

Defender is special guest at Peterborough game

Reds' legend Alan Lester returned to the club last Saturday as special guest of the Former Players Association.

Alan, now 48, played 435 games for the club in three separate spells in the 1980s and 1990s after starting his career at Fulham and then playing for East Grinstead.

Alan was introduced to the crowd before the Sky Bet League One game and received a generous round of applause from the home fans.

Alan said: "It was great to come back and see some old faces from when I was a player who are still involved such as Jim Green, Fred Pitts, Les Turnbull and Tony Vessey.

"I think a few of the supporters from the Town Mead days still remember me and I enjoyed the afternoon - apart from the result of course!"
