Reds relishing away days says Keith Keane

Midfielder looks ahead to Tuesday night's action

Keith Keane is confident Saturday’s win over Fleetwood will give Reds a good platform as they tackle two tough away games this week.

Tonight, we go to Doncaster Rovers before facing Keith’s parent club Preston on Saturday at Deepdale.

“They are both going to be tough games,” said the midfielder, who was man of the match in the 1-0 win over Fleetwood.

“Doncaster have lost a couple now but at home they are always strong. I have never gone there with any club and not had a difficult fixture.

“That’s all we are focusing on at the moment. We stopped the rot after a poor result the previous week by beating Fleetwood and that has given the boys a lot of confidence.

“They were buzzing afterwards and looking forward to tomorrow. It’s a long journey in midweek, especially for our fans, but the stadium there is excellent and we feel we can get a result.

“There were lots of positive on Saturday. We defended well throughout the team and when you have big Izale up top you’ve always got a chance. I really enjoyed it and will definitely benefit from getting 90 minutes under my belt when we go again on Tuesday. We need to maintain those standards tonight and hopefully we can get another result."
