Work, study and play the Crawley Town way

This season sees the launch of the first ever Crawley Town FC Traineeship, led by the Community Foundation.

The Traineeship Programme offers 16-18 year olds who are not in employment or education a taste of what working at a football club is all about by experiencing the day-to-day work of our media and commercial team, coaches, groundsmen, hospitality and events and other industries a football club incorporates.

As well as 12 weeks of work experience, participants will be able to complete a series of qualifications, such as a BTEC in Sports Industries and Sports Leadership, as well as one-to-one support to improve employability skills such as CV writing, interview techniques and job searching.

16-18 year olds can also study and play for Crawley Town as part of our education programme’s biggest year yet. Participants will represent the Football Education Academy and compete with clubs such as Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Watford and Fulham on the pitch, whilst studying towards a BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport here at the Checkatrade Stadium.

Ideal for people looking for an alternative to sixth form or college, the education team at Crawley provide a relaxed, enjoyable and rewarding environment for young people to thrive whilst in further education with routes into the first team squad for those who do well.
