The Reds host Colchester United on Tuesday evening in RH11 looking to record a third straight league win.

 

Saturday’s 3-2 win at the Globe Arena against Morecambe was the perfect follow up to the last home game at the Checkatrade Stadium, where the side beat Luton Town 2-0.

 

Depending on results, another victory for Dermot Drummy’s men could push the side into the top seven.

Opposition Dugout:

 

John McGreal’s men come into the game with four wins, two draws and three defeats from their opening nine league matches.

 

Their last three away games have seen a 2-0 defeat at Portsmouth, a 2-0 win away to Wycombe Wanderers, and a 1-1 draw against Barnet at the Hive on their last league road trip.

 

On Saturday, the Essex side suffered a 2-1 reverse at the hands of Accrington Stanley. After the two defeats before that game, McGreal’s men have responded with wins on both occasions.

 

One to watch:

The midfielder signed a new three-year contract with the club in the summer – having spent time on loan at National League side Braintree Town.


Last Time We Met:


Exactly a month ago the two sides met in RH11 in the first group stage game of the Checkatrade Trophy. A first half goal from James Collins gave the Reds a 1-0 win over their opponents.


Match Officials:


Mr Andy Haines will be the referee for the contest on Tuesday evening – he has taken charge of the Reds on five previous occasions.

 

He will be assisted by Mr Carl Fitch-Jackson and Mr Michael Webb. The fourth official will be Mr Dean Treleaven.
