Shirt amnesty a big success

Our shirt amnesty in aid of Sussex to Africa proved to be a big success.

In the week leading up to our recent home game against Morecambe, Reds fans were asked to donate an old shirt in return for one of this season’s tops.

The response was superb with more than 200 shirts from a variety of clubs collected.

These were handed over to the Sussex County FA before last week’s Senior Cup semi-final for the ‘Sussex to Africa’ campaign by Commercial Manager Graham Wright.

Graham said: “The response to our shirt amnesty with brilliant with shirts from a variety of different clubs handed in.

“These will go to Africa where I know they will be gratefully received. Last year we donated nearly 20 bags of kit and equipment for Sussex to Africa and we look forward to helping again in the future."
