A look ahead to Saturday's game at Brunton Park

Crawley Town travel to Carlisle United on Saturday looking to get back to winning ways on the road in EFL Two.

Last time the Reds travelled was to Cheltenham Town where they suffered a 2-1 defeat at Whaddon Road, and last Saturday’s game saw the side pick up a point after a 0-0 home draw with Accrington Stanley.

Their opponents for this weekend are unbeaten in all competitions so far this season – and so will provide a stern test for Dermot Drummy’s men.

The last time the two sides met was in the Reds’ penultimate home game of last season – where a second half Charlie Wyke goal gave the Cumbrian side a 1-0 win – it was to be former manager Mark Yates’ last game in charge.

The game before that last year saw the Reds lose 3-1 on their last trip to Brunton Park. A double from the aforementioned Wyke and a Jabo Ibehre strike cancelled out Rhys Murphy’s goal.

The Reds have met Carlisle United six times overall – winning once, drawing three and losing the other two matches between the sides.
