Reds sign Yussuf

2 August 2016

Striker arrives on six-month loan from Mansfield Town

The club are delighted to confirm that we have signed striker Adi Yussuf on loan from Mansfield Town until January 22, subject to EFL ratification.

He scored five goals in 30 League and Cup appearances for the Stags last season, having signed for the club from non-league Oxford City, where he had a prolific goalscoring in Conference North during the 2014-15 campaign.

Adi has also played for Tamworth, Burton Albion, Harrogate Town and Gainsborough Trinity having started his career at Leicester City.

Head Coach Dermot Drummy said: “Adi got his chance back in the League last season after doing really well for Oxford City and when I watched him a few times for Mansfield I was impressed. He’s got good pace and movement and he will chip in with his fair share of goals as well.

“He’s looking forward to a new challenge with us. He will give us another good option in the squad and he’s playing at a level he knows well and can perform at. We’ve worked hard to get this one over the line and I’m delighted he’s now a Crawley Town player.”

Look out for an interview with Adi on our YouTube channel and Reds Player on Wednesday.

Adi will wear squad no.21 during his period with the club.
