A full look ahead to Saturday's game

The Reds will be looking to build on Tuesday’s impressive win when they host Morecambe on Saturday at the Checkatrade Stadium (3pm).

Dermot Drummy’s men notched up a 3-2 away victory in midweek away to Colchester United – and so far this season our home form has been strong.

The game against Jim Bentley’s side represents the first in a run of home fixtures in quick succession – with four of the next five games at the Checkatrade Stadium.

The Shrimpers are unbeaten in their last three away from the Globe Arena and will provide tough opposition this weekend.

The Opposition:

The Shrimpers are unbeaten in their last three matches on the road and have produced some eye-catching results in the process.

Consecutive 1-1 draws away to fellow high-flyers Carlisle United and Doncaster Rovers were followed by an impressive 1-0 away win at Leyton Orient through a second half strike from Paul Mullin.

The Team News

Matt Harrold is still out but Joe McNerney is close to a return after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Morecambe are without the suspended skipper Peter Murphy, who was sent off in the 1-0 defeat at home to Barnet on Tuesday, and midfielder Alex Kenyon, who has had knee surgery this week.

The Previous Meetings:

The reverse fixture between the two sides earlier on in the campaign ended in a dramatic 3-2 win for Dermot Drummy’s men.

Goals from Adi Yussuf, Jimmy Smith and James Collins sealed the away win for the Reds – remarkably all five goals in the contest came in the closing 20 minutes of the game.

That was Crawley’s first ever win over Morecambe – in the 2011/12 season the Reds drew the home fixture 1-1, when Scott Neilson was on target, and lost 6-0 away - our highest defeat away from home as a League club.

Last season we drew 1-1 at home with Morecambe - Matt Harrold on target - and lost 3-1 at the Globe Arena, when Rhys Murphy was our scorer.
