Head Coach looks ahead to Cambridge United on Saturday afternoon

Dermot Drummy emphasised that the Reds head to the Abbey Stadium on Saturday without the pressure of recent weeks.

Last weekend's 3-3 draw with Carlisle United meant the side preserved their Football League status for another year, but the Head Coach insisted that although that's now secure, there wouldn't be change in mentality for the game with Shaun Derry's men.

"There's always a pressure there because we want to win every game," he said.

"But then we were worried we might get dragged into a dogfight, so I guess that's gone now.

"They're still pushing for the play-offs too and it'll be a tough game.

"But we go there looking to win, because we've been short of those in recent weeks and it'll do the club good."

This week marked a year since Dermot took charge at the club, and he emphasised the hard work that had been done both on and off the pitch during the last 12 months as being one of the most pleasing aspects of his tenure so far.

"Perhaps on the pitch the squad haven't been as good as they look," he continued.

"But it's good squad for next year and I feel there's been massive work off the pitch.

"There's an infrastructure of staff here now with a hub for them and the players to be proud of, when we came in there was a lot to do.

"That's the sort of thing that people don't necessarily know about and i think the club is in a healthier position."

Last weekend's game against the Cumbrians saw both Glenn Morris and Mark Connolly withdraw during the first half through injury, but Dermot revealed that both would be available for selection for the Reds' final away game of the 2016/17 campaign.

"Glenn's stitches have come out now - he's been fantastic all season, he's a courageous keeper and he'll be fine for the game.

"Mark has been struggling with various things in recent weeks but he'll be fine for tomorrow too."
