Stephen's got his season ticket. Have you?
Long-time Reds fans Stephen Horn is looking forward to John Gregory's first full season in charge after he bought his season ticket today.
Over the next ten days, as we count down to the Early Bird renewal deadline on May 31, we will be talking to Reds’fans about why they get behind the club by purchasing a season ticket and what they are hoping for in 2014-15.
Stephen has been a season ticket holder at the Checkatrade.com Stadium for a number of years and said: “I buy a season ticket because I've got colleagues who come with me and we're in a block with our friends. We come to watch the exciting football and with a new regime under John we're hoping for a great season when he brings in his players rather than picking up what he inherited in December.”
Stephen sits in the Checkatrade.com East Stand. “I sit at the top. It's a good view and there's a group of us now who are getting a few aches and pains and it's easier and more comfortable to sit down. I used to be on the terrace but I've been in the East Stand for three seasons now.”
Stephen is full of praise for the job JG has done and is hoping that the boss can make sure Reds can remain in League One for another season before an assault on the promotion spots: “I've been impressed with John since he arrived at Crawley”, Stephen added.
“He seems really passionate about the club and if he continues to keep us up then he'll have done a great job. As long as we stay up then I'll be happy, and then we can look to knock on the door for promotion. Staying up is the most important thing in my opinion. He inherited a team that didn't have confidence and turned things around.”
