Late penalty earns Colchester a share of the spoils
A late penalty from Anthony Wordsworth denied Reds all three points against Colchester as they drew 1-1 at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Kyle McFadzean put Richie Barker's side ahead midway through the second half with a somewhat controversial goal as Colchester appealed for a handball from the defender.
The referee and his assistant were both unmoved but Colchester responded and equalised from the spot with five minutes remaining.
Wordsworth fired home, despite a touch from Paul Jones, after Marcus Bean was brought down in the box.
Reds may have won it through substitute Billy Clarke when he hit the woodwork, the third time in the game the visitors had done so, but in the end they had to settle for a share of the spoils.
