Long-serving steward wins Football League award

Long-serving steward Terry Marshall has won Crawley Town's club hero award.

The Football League asked every one of its 72 clubs to nominate an individual Club Hero and our choice was Terry, a popular steward at the Checkatrade.com Stadium for the last 18 years.

Terry has only missed a handful of games during that time after suffering a heart attack before the FA Cup first round tie against Swindon Town in 2010.

Thankfully Terry made a full recovery although the did miss Reds' trip to Old Trafford later in the competition.

Chief Executive Michael Dunford, who presented the award to Terry on behalf of the Football League, said: "We're delighted to make this presentation to Terry.

"He is a very popular and well-known figure around the club and has given Crawley Town wonderful service in his role as steward."
