Reds are on the buses!

Crawley Town are going places in partnership with Metrobus

Crawley Town are definitely going places this season thanks to our new partnership with the town’s No.1 bus provider Metrobus.

A specially branded Crawley Town FC bus will be in use throughout the town and surrounding areas after being officially launched at the Checkatrade.com Stadium on Thursday.

While the rest of the Metrobus fleet is in blue, the Crawley Town bus is painted in the club colours of red so it will really stand out on the streets of Crawley and around Gatwick Airport.

Our mascot Reggie The Red features prominently on the side of the bus and at the back. As well as the Red Devils’ badge, the bus also displays easy to read contact information for the club. There’s even a net to walk through if you get on towards the back of the bus!

As well as being used on all regular Metrobus routes in Crawley, young fans will be able to come and meet Reggie on Saturday July 18 when the bus will be parked at the Checkatrade.com Stadium before Reds take on Fulham in a pre-season friendly.

Club director Matt Turner said: “After nearly two years of hard work and commitment by all involved we are excited to see the bus on the road. This project is an excellent marketing tool for the club and shows what can be achieved when we work with our local partners such as Metrobus.

“I hope the bus will entice the people from Crawley to get behind their local club this coming season.”

Charlotte Bruce, Marketing Manager for Metrobus, said: “We're thrilled to have teamed up with Crawley Town Football Club for this special Crawley Town bus.  We're local as are the football team so it made sense to do something like this.  We hope Crawley fans like their new bus and get the chance to ride it around town or further afield.”

Crawley Town Manager Mark Yates said: “I suppose this is one instance when it’s good to say ‘park the bus!’ It is a great initiative by the club and if it gets more fans down to our home games this season then that’s fantastic news.”
