Trialists on show against Ryman League hosts
Mark Yates has confirmed he will be looking at several trialists when Reds kick off their pre-season programme against Ryman League Burgess Hill at the Green Elephants Stadium tonight (Wednesday) kick off 7.30pm.
Mark said: “Apart from Lanre Oyebanjo and Gavin Tomlin, who are both injured and recovering from surgery, we have a fully fit squad and we’re also looking at another eight players who will get their opportunity at Burgess Hill and we look forward to seeing what they have to offer in a match situation.”
The trialists who are in action for Reds against Burgess Hill are:
Chris Sessegnon – former Dover, Ebbsfleet and Sutton United wide player
David Fitzpatrick – 20-year-old winger who played two games for AFC Wimbledon last season
George Barker – Ex-Brighton striker who was released by Swindon at the end of last season after making 13 appearances for the Robins. Also had a loan spell with Tranmere Rovers
Roarie Deacon – Former Stevenage utility player who started his career with Arsenal and has also played for England under-19s
Ben O’Hanlon – Left-back who has come through the Academy at Wolves
Francis Boateng – 23-year-old Ghanaian winger
Alex Brister – Former Fulham defender who has also played in Finland
Callum Preston – Wales' under-19 goalkeeper who has come through Birmingham City’s Academy and played on loan for AFC Telford last season
