Jordan Nobbs to visit Community Foundation's successful COGs session

England international Jordan Nobbs will be at the Checkatrade.com Stadium on Monday to join in the successful ladies football sessions COGs, which the club’s community foundation have been running for the last seven months.

Jordan, who plays for Arsenal Ladies, won her 23rd England cap on Thursday in the 0-0 draw against Germany.

COGs (Crawley Old Girls) was set up earlier this year to give ladies aged over 25 the opportunity to play football in a relaxed environment where the emphasis is on fun and fitness.

The weekly sessions, which take place on the ball court at the Stadium, regularly attract around 20 members and new players are always welcome.

Amy Fazackerley, the foundation’s Community Development Coordinator, who oversees the COGs sessions, is proud of the way it has developed in recent months.

It was set up with funding from the Football League Trust and has been so successful that other League clubs are introducing COGs sessions at their own clubs, having used Crawley Town COGs as their template.

Amy said: “It will be great to have Jordan here on Monday to see the work we’ve done over the last few months to make COGs such a success. Anyone aged over 25 can come along on Monday to join in and meet her.”

Monday's session kicks off at 6.15pm.
