Defender returns on Saturday as guest of Former Players Association

We’re delighted to welcome back former Reds’ defender Marc Pullan as special guest of the Former Players Association on Saturday.

Marc played for the club in two separate spells and made 276 appearances for the club, scoring two goals.

He made his debut against Salisbury City on August 21, 1996 before leaving in 1998.

Billy Smith re-signed Marc in 2000 and he went on to play a further 202 games and was part of the Southern League title-winning team in 2004 after forming a great central defensive partnership with Kevin Hemsley.

FPA chairman Tony Vessey said: “It will be great to see Pullars again on Saturday. He was a fiercely committed player who gave everything he had in every game and he became very popular with the Reds’ fans.

“We look forward to welcoming him back on Saturday and I’m sure Crawley fans will give give him a good reception.”
