Chelsea goalkeeper Mitchell Beeney joins the Reds on loan until January 3.
Here’s an in-depth look at our newest arrival…
Mitchell began his career with Gillingham’s youth academy, where he had been for three years from 2004-2007. He moved to Chelsea where he became a pivotal member of the U18 squad, and was promoted to the U21 side soon after.
He then went on a spell on loan at Newport County at January at the start of this year, where he made four appearances.
PREMIER LEAGUE: Beeney was named on the bench as an unused substitute for Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Beeney was also on the bench for Chelsea’s 3-1 over Sporting Lisbon at Stamford Bridge in December 2014.
UEFA YOUTH LEAGUE: Beeney won the competition with Chelsea in the 2014/15 season.
