Fenelon needs game time, explains the boss
Manager Mark Yates has been reflecting on the decision to send young striker Shamir Fenelon to Whitehawk on loan.The 19-year-old linked up with the National League South side on Saturday and made his debut in the 2-2 draw against Ebbsfleet United.
Speaking after Saturday's 0-0 draw with Wycombe, Mark said: "We don't have a reserve team and Shamir is not getting any game time just sitting on the bench.
"I just want him to go and play some football at a good level that will benefit him.
"We will assess things in a month's time and see where we are. If he is scoring goals and has got his appetite back that I am hearing about it will stand him in good stead rather than sitting on the bench for four weeks."
