Defender links up with League Two club

Reds' defender James Hurst is joining Northampton Town on a month's loan.

James, 21, will be with the Cobblers until February 15 and the paperwork has been completed in time for him to be available for Northampton's game against Torquay on Saturday.

James has played 21 times since joining the club in the summer after he had a spell in Icelandic football including 14 starts. He last played in the 2-0 defeat to MK Dons on Boxing Day.

Manager John Gregory said: "Hursty needs to get some games under his belt and it is a good opportunity for him. We will monitor his progress at Northampton over the next month and we wish him all the best."
