James Hurst leaves Crawley Town

27 February 2014

Contract cancelled by mutual consent

The club can confirm that defender James Hurst has left Crawley Town after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.

The 22-year-old made 21 appearances for the club after joining in July including 14 starts although he did not figure in the first-team squad after the 2-0 defeat to MK Dons on Boxing Day.

Chief Executive Michael Dunford said: “James is now looking to further his career elsewhere and is talking to a club in Norway. We wish him all the best and thank him for his services to Crawley Town.”

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Ross Atkins has returned to Derby County at the end of his loan spell.
