Boss looks ahead

Boss Richie Barker was a busy man on deadline day as he completed the signing of Mike Jones from Sheffield Wednesday.

But Richie took time out to mull over the Capital One Cup draw and look ahead to Saturday's home game against Leyton Orient.

Premier League Swansea City will visit the Broadfield Stadium on Tuesday, September 25, and Richie was relieved that the game will be at home.

He said: "A Premier League game is a massive challenge for the players and I am delighted we have been drawn at home. Swansea are a quality side with some top-class players and it is going to be a difficult test for us.

"But at home I feel we can give anyone a game as we proved once again against Bolton."

The Capital One Cup tie is still more than three weeks away and the priority now is tomorrow's League One game against Leyton Orient at the Broadfield (3pm).

The O's have yet to pick up a league point and were knocked out of the Capital One Cup by Everton on Wednesday and Richie is expecting a reaction from Russell Slade's side.

"The table is distorted at the moment because they have only played twice and three points can move you up something like ten places. I expect Russ will demand a reaction tomorrow and it will be extremely tough for us - they have got a very decent side.

"We will need the fans behind us again, as they have been since the start of the season, but we are looking forward to the challenge."
