Support at Swindon was loud and proud
Chief Executive Alan Williams has spoken of his pride at the magnificent support Reds got at Swindon on Tuesday night.
The 154 travelling fans gave their team constant backing throughout the second half with drummer Ross Mitchell providing his own non-stop one-man rhythm section!
Alan said: “Although we lost the game I was extremely proud to be the Chief Executive of this football club on Tuesday night.
“The support of our fans was simply wonderful and I can assure every single one of them that it was appreciated by Richie and the players.
“It can’t have been easy for them seeing their team lose the game but they never gave up the noise and cheering. That is what real support is like and we are very lucky as a club to have a set of fans that get behind the team in the way they did.
“I hope Ross’s arm has recovered in time for the game at Doncaster on Saturday. It’s our first visit to the Keepmoat and the CTSA are running a second coach and I hope to see as many Reds fans as possible being loud and proud up there. Once again, sincere thanks to all of those who travelled on Tuesday and got behind the boys so magnificently on Tuesday.”
