Richie: "You can't ask for much more than that."
Reds boss Richie Barker was please with Reds' 3-0 win against Scunthorpe, but admits there is still room for improvement.
Goals from Gary Alexander (2) and Jonathan Forte on his debut ensure Barker and Reds began League 1 with a win.
Richie said: "I thought first half we were excellent and we had about 13 shots. There was a lot of tiredness from both sides (in the second half).
"It was by no means perfect but you can't ask for more than that in the club's first ever game in League 1 to win 3-0."
Alexander's goal on the stroke of the half-hour mark was reward for a fantastic opening spell that Richie was hugely impressed with.
"It wasn't (anymore than we deserved) we were by far the team on top. We knew that they would get better as they had not been at the races and we got nervous," Richie added.
"The second goal was a big plus and we got the third one at the right time.
I didn't really know where to look but it was an excellent ball and Jonathan did exactly what we asked him to do and it was the one that killed them off."
