Family Football Festival a great success

Posted on: Sun 30 Oct 2011

Lots of Reds fans young and old enjoyed our first Family Football Festival before Saturday's game against Accrington.

We had some fantastic entries for our Red Devil fancy dress competition including triplets Josh, Ben and Charlie Turner, pictured.

Five lucky young fans got to take penalties at mascot Reggie the Red at half-time and our face painters were kept busy throughout the day.

The crowds were also entertained by a great magician from Marjun Entertainment and the bouncy castle, bungee run and fire engines proved popular attractions too.

Reggie, Tadworth the Hound and the mascot from St Catherine's Hospice handed out loads of sweets to the kids and 22 lucky young fans formed a guard of honour on the pitch in Kick It Out t-shirts as part of our support of the One Game, One Community initiative.

Our thanks to everyone who came along and made it such an enjoyable day and to Toy Barnhaus for their sponsorship of the event.
