Josh Lelan signed for Reds on an 18-month contract in January 2017.
The defender, who can play right-back or in a central position, was with Derby County as a schoolboy and progressed into their Academy.
He had a loan spell at Swindon in 2015 and in the 2016-17 campaign played for Northampton Town, helping the Cobblers win promotion to League One and figuring in both games that season against Crawley.
He was released by Northampton in May 2017 and then went back to Derby to train and play in their under-23s. He had trials with Plymouth, Southend and Leyton Orient and linked up with Reds after a short spell in Sweden.
