The 25-year-old brother of Manchester United and England’s Ashley Young joined Reds in July 2014 after a successful trial with the club.
Lewis started his professional career in 2008 at Watford, making two appearances in the first team.
Spells with Hereford United, Burton Albion, Forest Green Rovers, Northampton, Yeovil, Aldershot and Bury followed before he joined Crawley.
He has played regularly in midfield or at right back and had made 83 appearances for Reds prior to signing a new one-year contract in July 2016.
