The 25-year-old from Shoreham joined Reds for a second time in January 2017 on loan until the end of the season from Forest Green Rovers.
Rhys started his career at Arsenal, during which time he played on loan for Brentford and Preston. Following his release by Arsenal he had a spell in Dutch football with Telstar before signing for Dagenham & Redbridge in 2013, where he averaged a goal every three games.
Rhys moved to Oldham in February 2015, after missing the first part of that season as he recovered from knee surgery. He scored his first Latics’ goal against Peterborough a few days before linking up with Reds.
He scored on his Crawley debut in the 4-1 defeat to Notts County when he joined in September 2016 for his first loan spell and went on to notch nine goals in 16 games. He left Oldham at the end of the 2015-16 campaign and joined Forest Green Rovers where he netted five goals in 17 games prior to his return to Sussex.
