John Gregory is urging Reds' fans to show their true colours against Swindon at the Checkatrade.com Stadium today.

Fans across the country at all 72 FL clubs have been set the challenge of creating a Wall of Colour at their side’s opening home league match - and this is our chance!

The first home result often proving a useful pointer to a team’s prospects for the season ahead.

Last season, none of the 10 clubs that won promotion from the Sky Bet Championship, League 1 or League 2 lost their first home league match. Additionally, none of the nine clubs that were ultimately relegated won their opening home game.

John is looking to Reds’ fans to play their part in making the Checkatrade.com Stadium a sea of red and creating a memorable atmosphere to inspire the team.

John said: “We really want to give our fans a team that will excite and entertain them this season and it’s absolutely crucial that the atmosphere they generate at home is as vocal and passionate as possible.

"On August 16 we want to create a red Wall of Colour around the Stadium and we feel this will look fantastic in our ground with everyone holding up their Wall of Colour card. And then our fans can take them home because there's a great squad picture on the other side."
