Former Fulham striker signs short-term contract

Crawley Town are delighted to confirm the signing of striker Charles Banya on a short-term contract.

The 20-year-old has impressed enough since joining Reds for pre-season training two weeks ago to get a deal.

Charles was with Fulham from the age of 12 and was a regular in both their under-18 and under-21 squads in recent seasons. He was an unused substitute against Stoke City in a Premier League fixture in 2012. Last season he had a spell on loan with Woking in the Conference, although that was cut short by injury.

Charles has featured in the friendlies against Three Bridges, Woking and Chelsea and has been given squad number 17 with Mitchell Rose 15.

You can hear what John Gregory has to say about our new signing below.
