Reds' pair undergo hernia operations
Boss John Gregory has confirmed that Ryan Dickson and Gwion Edwards have both undergone hernia operations.The keyhole surgery was carried out on Wednesday at a London hospital.
The boss explained: "The injuries have been troubling both players for a while now.
"It's a credit to both of them that they have carried on playing and giving their all even though they have been in considerable pain during and particularly after games.
"With no match this Saturday this was a window for us to get them in and out. They are minor procedures but obviously they will need time for rehabilitation."
Neither will be available for our next League One game against leaders Bristol City on December 13, but John is hopeful they will be fit for the home match against Port Vale on December 20."
