The club are delighted to confirm the arrival of Crystal Palace midfielder Hiram Boateng and striker Sullay Kaikai, who will join the club on Saturday when the loan window re-opens, initially for 28 days but with a view to extending that period.

The two 18-year-olds have completed the paperwork in time to be available for Saturday’s Sky Bet League One game against Brentford at Griffin Park.

Hiram has made two-first team appearances for Palace, the most recent in their 2-0 win at West Brom last month in the third round of the FA Cup.

London born but qualified to play for Ghana through his parentage, he has been with Palace’s Academy since the age of eight before graduating into the first-team squad.

Striker Sullay was in Palace boss Tony Pulis’s first squad in November after scoring a hat-trick for their under-18s and has been a regular at that level for the club.

Manager John Gregory said: “Palace have a fantastic reputation for producing young talent and Hiram and Sullay are two of the best they have.

“Hiram is a really exciting midfielder who is excellent on the ball and strong in the tackle and Sullay is a very lively presence up front with terrific pace and an eye for goal.

“Tony has allowed them to come here to get experience and game time and they will definitely get that with the number of matches we have coming up.

“I’d like to thank Tony for letting us have the two of them. I’m sure they are going to prove to be very good additions to our squad as we approach a very busy time of the season.”

Hiram will wear No.17 and Sullay No.16.
