John Gregory: Another good night

Crawley Town manager reflects on 10-0 win in friendly

John Gregory was delighted after Reds notched up another impressive win in pre-season on Tuesday night.

Izale McLeod scored a first half hat-trick and Lewis Young netted twice in a 10-0 win at County League Oakwood. Conor Henderson, Jimmy Smith, Josh Simpson and trialists Bobson Bawling and Anthony Harris were also on target.

John said: "It was another good 90 minutes - nothing beats playing games and we have got more game time for a lot of the lads.

"We scored a few goals and I was delighted for Izale, who showed some good finishing. Just like Billingshurst last Friday, it was all positives."

Among the trialists on display was former Fulham striker Collins John, 28, who played for more than an hour.

"He's a bit behind in terms of fitness but we're hoping he will stay with us for a bit and will be involved on Saturday against his former club," added the boss.

Gavin Tomlin and Matt Harrold sat out the game through injury but Gavin is expected to be involved for the first time on Saturday when Fulham visit the Checkatrade.com Stadium (3pm).

A video with John will be on the official website on Wednesday.
