Boss makes it 12 new additions at Crawley Town
John Gregory is delighted with how his summer recruitment has gone so far after the arrival of Lewis Young and Dean Leacock made it 12 new signings.
Young and Leacock both agreed one-year deals this week to take the squad number up to 17.
The boss said: "We've got two more through the door this week and I'm very pleased with how things are looking.
"The squad is coming together nicely. We've got a good mix of youth and experience and a few lads who if we create the right environment - and I believe we will - that can really thrive at the club.
"I was delighted to bring in Dean and Lewis. Dean only lives 20 minutes away and that's a big factor for me, having as many of the players as possible living close to the club.
"He's got vast experience of this level and is a winner. He's fitted in really well and can see the potential in the squad.
"As for Lewis, he knows this is a big opportunity for him at an ambitious League One club to showcase the undoubted talent that he has on a consistent basis."
There are likely to be further additions to the squad before the League One kick-off on August 9 with JG set to run the rule over several more trialists in the forthcoming friendlies, starting against Fulham on Saturday.
