Relegated side host Reds on August 9

Reds begin their 2014-15 campaign with a trip to League One new boys Barnsley, who were relegated from the Championship last season. Our first ever visit to Oakwell will be on 9th August.

A week later will see us play our first home game of the season, when Swindon are the visitors to the Stadium before Bradford come to town three days later on 19th August.

A tricky opening month will then see us head north to face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on 23rd August before going to Milton Keynes for a match against MK Dons a week later.

The beginning of September sees John Gregory's men take on promoted Rochdale (6th) and then Fleetwood Town (13th) before two long trips to Doncaster – Tuesday 16th – and then Preston on Saturday 20th. The 27th pairs us with a home match against Yeovil Town.

A trip to Northampton is on the cards when we take on Coventry City at Sixfields Stadium on 4th October and a week later we'll host Peterborough United at the Stadium and then visit Notts County a week later before finishing the month off with Walsall at home and then Gillingham away.

November will see the Reds have home advantage for three of the four games in the month. A home match against Crewe on the 1st sees the month in before we take on Mike Jones and Oldham Athletic on the 15th. Two newcomers to the division – Scunthorpe and Chesterfield – visit Crawley on the 22nd and 29th respectively.

We don't have a League game in December until the 13th when we head west to take on Bristol City at Ashton Gate. A week later and we're back at home against Port Vale (20th) and Boxing Day sees us take the short trip to face Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road. Two days later and we're at home to Colchester United.

The first game of 2015 takes us to a new ground as we take on Chesterfield on the 3rd. A week later and Richie Barker returns as MK Dons come to town on the 10th January. A week later and we're back up north – Rochdale to be more precise – for our first trip to Spotland. The following Saturday and we're on the coast with the long trek to Fleetwood and their near neighbours Preston visit Crawley on the final day of January.

On 7th February we go to Somerset to do battle with Yeovil and the following Tuesday will bring Doncaster to Crawley before another Yorkshire side, Barnsley, will come to us on Valentine's Day. We finish the month with a visit to the County Ground to play Swindon on the 21st and Sheffield United at home on 28th February.

March sees us play six games, beginning with a trip to Valley Parade on Tuesday 3rd to face Bradford before Bristol City visit on the 7th

Two consecutive trips on the road, to Colchester on the 14th and another Tuesday night trip to Burslem to face Port Vale on St Patrick's Day, follow before home matches against Leyton Orient on the 21st and then Gillingham a week later.

The final full month of the campaign sees us begin with a trip to Cheshire to play Crewe Alexandra on 4th before we're back at home when Oldham visit on Easter Saturday. We travel to Scunthorpe and then Walsall – Tuesday 14th – for consecutive trips on the road. The penultimate home game is against Notts County on the 18th and the final away trip is to Peterborough on the 25th.

The curtain comes down with a home match against the side that kicked off last season's campaign when Coventry visit us on the 2nd May.
