New first-team coach appointed
Crawley Town are pleased to announce that Paul Groves has been appointed the club’s new first team coach.
Paul is a former manager of Grimsby Town and AFC Bournemouth. The 48-year-old was the youth team manager at the Cherries before stepping up to be manager at the Goldsands Stadium.
During his coaching career, Paul has also worked at West Ham United and Portsmouth.
Paul made over 600 appearances as a player and represented Blackpool, Grimsby Town, Leicester City, West Bromwich Albion and York City in a playing career that spanned almost 20 years.
Reds boss John Gregory said: “I'm delighted that Paul has agreed to join us. He'll be a valuable member of the backroom team and is someone who is very experienced. I'm looking forward to working alongside him for the coming season.”
