Reds' new defender ties the knot
It's been quite a week for Ryan Dickson.
On Wednesday he became John Gregory's third signing of the close season after joining us on a two-year contract after he left Colchester at the end of last season.
And today (Saturday) the 27-year-old gets married!
Ryan said: "It's been a hectic few days. I'd only just got back from my stag do when I went to the club on Wednesday for my medical and to complete all the paperwork. To be honest, I haven't even had time to book my honeymoon yet!
"But I'm delighted to be a Crawley player and to have everything sorted out now. I wanted it done before the wedding so when I come back from my honeymoon I can go straight into pre-season training and get ready for a new challenge."
With over 200 League games under his belt, the 27-year-old is highly experienced and has played a lot of League One football.
"First and foremost I'm a defender but in the modern game full backs need to be athletic, they need to get forward and I like doing that as well.
"The Gaffer has said what role he wants me to play and I'm happy with it. To be honest, John Gregory sold the club to me really well. He was a big factor in my decision to come here."
