Former Players Association

Crawley Town's first Former Players Association was formed in November 2013.

At its launch, Chief Executive Michael Dunford said: "Although our club has enjoyed a spectacular rise in the last three years we should never forget its rich history dating back to the formation of the original club in 1896.

"I am delighted to announce that we have just formed a Former Players Association committee under the chairmanship of one of our vice-presidents, Jim Green, and including two ex-players: Ian Payne and John Howe.

"We aim to have 100 members by the end of the season and as well as involving them on matchdays and at social events the committee organise we will be setting up a charitable trust as part of the FPA with the aim of raising funds to help former players who have fallen on hard times.

"The sole criterion for membership is that you have played one game in a recognised first-team fixture. John Howe has take on the role of membership secretary and if you know of any ex-players who might be interested in joining the FPA and meeting up with their old team-mates please call John on 01293 351173.

"If you prefer, you can email your interest in joining the FPA by emailing fpa@crawleytownfc.com"

Already, the FPA have welcomed back ex-Reds on home matchdays as the club's guests including Tony Vessey, Eric and Craig Whitington, Ali West and Roy Jennings.
