Joe leads the way in race for Dave Haining Trophy
Competition to win the Dave Haining Award for player of the season is hotting up as we approach the final quarter of the campaign.
After every game, we ask for fans to vote for their man of the match on our website and on Reds Wall.
Ahead of Saturday’s trip to Oldham defender Joe Walsh was out in front with 34 points, having been voted MoM on six occasions.
Second is Kyle McFadzean on 23 with Mark Connolly on 19 in third.
Points for finishing second or third in the poll are also taken into account and so far this season 19 players have been nominated including two no longer with the club, Nicky Adams and Gary Alexander, and another, Emile Sinclair, who is currently on loan at Northampton.
Here’s how things stood before the Oldham game and the situation could still change with plenty of matches still to be played.
