Goalkeeper's contract is cancelled by mutual consent
The club can confirm that goalkeeper Jamie Ashdown has been released from his contract, which was due to expire at the end of December, by mutual agreement.Jamie made nine appearances for Reds after joining the club in September.
Manager John Gregory said: "After bringing in Lewis Price we had three goalkeepers which is one too many. Jamie is still based in North Yorkshire and wants to be closer to his family so we all felt it was best if he was given the opportunity to find a club nearer home.
"He has been a model professional in his short time with us and we wish him all the best for the future."
