TEAM NEWS

Izale McLeod serves a one-match suspension after collecting five bookings but Dean Leacock returns after a ban. Lanre Oyebanjo, Matt Harrold, Marvin Elliott and Josh Simpson are all doubts.

Oldham are without Genseric Kusunga, who is on international duty with Angola. Midfielder Carl Winchester is likely to figure even though he was called into the Northern Ireland squad for their Euro 2016 qualifier against Romania in Bucharest on Friday. George Elokbi (thigh) is a doubt but Adam Lockwood is ready to return after six months out with a foot problem. Midfielder Daniel Johnson, signed on loan from Aston Villa, could make his debut.

VIEW FROM INSIDE THE CAMP

John Gregory: "It's no surprise to me to see Oldham doing so well. They have a goalscorer in Jonathan Forte who is full of confidence and Lee Johnson has recruited really well. We will need to play well to get a result but we're definitely capable of getting something and causing them problems."

Lee Johnson, Oldham manager (pictured): "I've come against John Gregory before although I have only known him a short period of time. But you can tell. He will have a group coming up here to win the game and he will have a plan for that. It is up to us and our players to do our best and win."

WE’VE MET BEFORE?

This will be the fifth meeting between the teams. Reds have lost both of their previous games at Boundary Park, 2-1 in April 2013 and 1-0 in March.

At home, Reds have won once and drawn the other game against the Latics.
