Disasbled Supporters Club launched

2 October 2014

Inagural meeting tonight

Crawley Town Disabled Supporters’ Association will be launched at a meeting in Reds Bar at the Checkatrade.com Stadium on Thursday October 2nd starting at 7.30pm.

Reds’ fan Chris Cheshire has set up the club, with the help of Supporters’ Liaison Officer Barb Robinson, as part of Crawley Town’s ongoing commitment to embrace all sections of its supporter base.

Chief Executive Michael Dunford said: “Crawley Town are delighted to be launching its first Disabled Supporters’ Club next week.

“From it, we hope that there will be sufficient interest to discuss how this might operate and create an organising committee.

“It’s not restricted to people in receipt of medium or higher-level disability allowance. It is open to any Crawley Town supporter with a disability and in Chris and Barbara we have two strong supporters of this initiative.”

At the inaugural meeting, a new video for the club’s website will be viewed. It’s been produced to enhance the matchday experience by providing clear disabled access information.

All disabled supporters are welcome to attend the launch meeting, which will be attended by John Gregory.
