Josh makes the Wright move to Reds

Reds sign Millwall midfielder on loan

Crawley Town are delighted to confirm that midfielder Josh Wright has joined the club on a three-month (93 day) loan deal from Championship side Millwall.

The 24-year-old Londoner started his career at Charlton in 2007. He made two appearances in three seasons for the Addicks and had loan spells with Barnet and Brentford and Gillingham before leaving The Valley in 2009 to sign for Scunthorpe United.

Josh made 81 appearances and played in the Championship for the Iron and scored his only goal for the club in a League Cup tie in 2010.

He returned south in 2011 to sign for Millwall and last season had a brief loan spell with Leyton Orient. This season he has made two starts for the Lions, making it 53 in total since he joined the club.

Manager John Gregory said: “Josh is a good fit for us as a hardworking, creative midfielder who has played most of his football at this level or above.

“He’s committed to us for three months and we think he has a lot to offer. He’s a very good footballer who looks after the ball well.

"He can’t wait to get going for Crawley Town and we’re looking forward to both of them making a big impression.”

There is a 28-day recall clause in the agreement and Josh has been given permission to play in both the FA Cup and JP Trophy by his parent club.

Look out for a full interview with Josh shortly on the official website.
