Preview: Yeovil Town

26 September 2014

A look ahead to Saturday's home game

Reds entertain Yeovil Town for only the fourth time in our history at the Checkatrade.com Stadium on Saturday, kick off 3pm.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Referee: Charles Breakspear

Assistants: Mathew Buonassisi and Adam Crysell

Fourth Official: Darren Blunden

TEAM NEWS

Reds welcome back Keith Keane, who was not eligible to face parent club Preston last week, and could have Lanre Oyebanjo and Josh Simpson available after injury. Ryan Dickson (knee) is still sidelined.
For Yeovil, Simon Gillett and Brendan Maloney are both sidelined but James Hayter, Calvin Brooks and Liam Davis could come into contention as their injury list starts to ease.

VIEW FROM INSIDE THE CAMP

John Gregory: "Gary Johnson has had to rebuild his squad, like I have done, in the summer and they are starting to pick up some good results now. We know it's going to be tough but at home the onus is on us to get on the front foot."

Gary Johnson (Yeovil boss, pictured): "We have got to be aware of the type of player they have. It's a dangerous game for us and John Gregory will have them competing, that's for sure."

WE’VE MET BEFORE?

This is the fifth meeting between the clubs. In the 1969-70 season we drew 3-3 and 1-1 in the Southern League while Yeovil won an FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie at Town Mead 2-1 in 1992. In League One two years ago David Hunt's injury-time own goal earned Yeovil a 1-0 win here while the away fixture at Huish Park finished 2-2 in March, 2013.

FORM GUIDE

Reds have won five, drawn one and lost six in all competitions this season. Yeovil's 1-0 win over Peterborough last Saturday was their first at home since March. In recent away games they have won 3-1 at Bradford and lost 2-1 to Coventry City.
