Initiative announced as Disabled Supporters Association promotes Level Playing Field's Weeks of Action

Next Saturday's home match against Notts County kicks off Level Playing Field’s Weeks of Action which is an annual fortnight to promote the message of ‘Access and Inclusion’ for disabled fans, and Crawley Town’s Disabled Supporters’ Association (DSA) is getting involved.

The club is supportive of improving the matchday experience of disabled supporters and is working alongside the DSA to identify ways to enable more disabled fans to come and enjoy the match.

One of the initiatives suggested by our members is already underway.

Starting next season, a team of trainee Audio Description (AD) commentators will enable the club to offer an AD commentary for visually impaired supporters at every home game. We'd like to thank the Longley Trust, who gave us a grant to cover the cost of the training, and the club for agreeing to find funding to cover the cost of the equipment.

DSA members will be attending another training session in the second week of the Week of Action. Lanre Oyebanjo will draw out the name of the lucky member who will receive his home shirt.

If you’re not a member but would like to join us, or find out more information, please contact our Chair, Barb Robinson, email barbararobinson@crawleytownfc.com or leave a message for her at main reception.
