Cricket comes to Crawley today!

6 April 2015

Lots of great cricket-themed activities on the Ball Court on Easter Monday

In partnership with Crawley Town Community Foundation, Sussex Cricket in the Community will be running a host of activities on the Crawley Town Ball Court, prior to our match against Oldham Athletic today.

Running from 12.30-1.30pm activities will include football and cricket drills, delivered by qualified coaches, and structured tournaments. Sussex’s mascot Sid the Shark (pictured) will also be in attendance, spending the day with our very own Reggie the Red.

Sussex Cricket in the Community will also be giving away goody bags to those who come along and take part.

Sussex Cricket in the Community exists for the benefit of the community, providing a broad range of programmes to build better futures, and develop stronger communities through the power of cricket.

Their aim is to help people ‘take part’ ‘get smart’ and ‘feel good.’ Working with Crawley Town Community Foundation, Sussex Cricket in the Community hopes to offer a range of sports opportunities for local young people, inspiring them to get active and encouraging them to be more involved in their local community.

More specifically, Sussex Cricket in the Community will be teaming up with the Crawley Kicks programme to offer additional positive activities for young people on some of our Thursday night Kicks sessions we deliver in Bewbush.

We look forward to seeing you on Easter Monday from 12.30pm on the ball court.
