Ladies! Come and join the fun

23 April 2015

Crawley Town Community Foundation football sessions every Thursday

Crawley Town Community Foundation is celebrating the success of an innovative new session for female fans.

As a result of funding from the Female Football Development Fund, Crawley Town Community Foundation has developed a series of free football sessions for female fans aged 25 plus.

Delivered by a Level 2 female coach, sessions are specifically designed for ladies who are interested in football, but who may not have had the chance to play before. There is a relaxed, social atmosphere, with the emphasis on fun, fitness and enjoyment, rather than competition.

Last Thursday saw the first of these sessions delivered at the Checkatrade.com Stadium Ball Court. For many of the group, the session provided the first ever opportunity to take part in football, providing an interesting alternative to traditional fitness based activities.

There were many laughs along the way, and the evening was a huge success, with talk already turning to more regular structured sessions!

Sessions run every Thursday evening from 6.15-7.15pm at the Stadium Ball Court.

No experience or fitness levels are required, just a willingness to try something different and have fun!

Crawley Town Community Foundation also runs weekly recreational sessions for 14-25 year olds. These sessions run from 5-6pm the Ball Court and cost £2.50 per person.

For more information, or to get involved in either session, contact Amy Fazackerley on amyfazackerley@crawleytownfc.com, or just turn up on the day.
