Football League honour for Crawley Town supporter

The club and the Supporters Alliance are delighted that Reds’ fan Tracey Cole is among the three nominees for the Capital One Supporter of the Year, with the winner to be revealed on Sunday at the tenth annual Football League Awards.

Tracey, described by one fellow fan as an ‘extremely dedicated supporter of Crawley Town’, spends a significant amount of her own time helping to arrange travel to away matches for the Supporters Alliance. Tracey and her partner Gary hire minibuses to ensure there is transport organised.

Tracey said: "I couldn't believe it when I was told. It's great recognition for the club and I am looking forward to representing Crawley Town at the awards on Sunday."

Chief Executive Michael Dunford said: “We are delighted for Tracey that her hard work on behalf of so many of our fans has been recognised by the Football League.

“It is a great tribute to her and the CTSA and wonderful  for the club as well. We wish her all the best at the awards on Sunday."

The short list is made up of one fan from each division, with each being the Capital One Supporter of the Year in their division. The gala ceremony takes place at The Brewery, London, at the weekend.

The other nominees are Sarah Watts (Brighton & Hove Albion) and Greg Hill (Exeter City).

Drew Barrand, Marketing Director of The Football League, said: “The Football League Awards 2015 provides not just the opportunity to recognise star performances, both on and off the pitch over the last year, but also the chance to celebrate the last 10 years of the event.

“We wish all those nominated the best of luck and look forward to a fantastic evening on Sunday.”
